The Company

WVG alu-tec GmbH gives work to 50 permanent employees. The production- and storage area at Bad Arolsen amounts to more than 8000 m².

WVG alu-tec GmbH consumes roundabout 25 tons of aluminium annually and produces out of those more than 20.000 aluminum casting parts at the same time.

Our machinery includes eight electric melting furnaces. The crucible sizes of the melting furnaces are between 200 - 300 kg.

History

1991

The company WVG Industrie- und Schalttechnik, based in Lohfelden near Kassel, founds the business division Aluguss with its foundry in Bad Arolsen.

1997

The company expands and moves into new office space and industrial space on the former company premises in Breuna, industrial area at Bachmann.

2001

The Aluguss division splits from the company. The company WVG alu-tec GmbH is founded and now uses the entire company premises in Breuna.

2002

WVG alu-tec GmbH, headquartered in Breuna, is expanding with an additional production area in Westheim for the new final assembly & amp; Packaging.

2004

The business premises in Breuna will be extended by an additional warehouse with a capacity of 500 m².

2008

The certification according to ISO 9001: 2000 as well as the centralization and extension of the Breuna site by an additional production hall with approx. 2000 m². The site in Westheim is dissolved.

2009

Construction / Research and Development (R & D) is being expanded.

The CNC department is started with the commissioning of the first CNC machine.

2010

The CNC department grows around a 3-axis CNC machine.

2011

This is followed by the purchase of another 3-axis CNC machine. The certification of the QMS is renewed from ISO 9001: 2000 to ISO 9001: 2008.

2012

The acquisition of SolidWorks and HSMWorks makes it possible for the WVG to internally design and subsequently manufacture molds and fixtures.

2014

In order to optimize the melt quality, the acquisition of a density index measuring device follows.

2015

The investment in the casting process simulation program MAGMA5 represents a technological leap forward. In addition, the company creates a spectral analyzer.

2016

The acquisition and relocation to the new business premises in Bad Arolsen were completed. This was followed by recertification to ISO 9001: 2008. The former operating site Breuna is closed and sold.

2017

The distribution is growing and a plastic 3D printer finds its place in the house WVG. Following recertification to ISO 9001: 2015, accreditation for dye penetrant testing follows.
